Hi, I've been reading this forum and checking the shops and Ebay, but was wondering if it's possible to buy a complete, ready-to-go system. For example, a receiver (new or used) with a TSOP and EEPROM locks installed, with the TSOP backed up, with the box keys extracted and written down, etc.

Maybe some of the receivers on Ebay have all this but they are not allowed to mention it (although several mention a JTAG port)? It's not that I'm too lazy to do it myself, just afraid of doing something wrong and damaging the box.

Thanks for any info.

you can send one to maestra and they will mod it for you.

Thanks for this info. I've also discovered that, if you use the "Ask seller a question" link on an ebay item and ask whether the receiver has TSOP lock, box keys, etc, in many cases the seller will tell you that it has these or that, for an extra price, he will do it for you. Also, on the DSS-related auction site, the listings usually state explicitly which modifications the box has, if any.

Really? That's good to know - about flea bay. What DSS auction site? Got a 501 @ maestra being modded right now. Heard nothing but good things about them, and the communication from them has been excellent...still need 3 more receivers and if I get them modded already....

Yes, really, although of course I also got replies like, "What's a tsop?" Am I permitted to mention the names of other sites? I found 2 by a google search for dss auction.

I can google them - but I'm pretty sure other sites are ok. I hope it is....I buy a shit load from mili and if he sold pre moded receivers I'd buy them from him too - so there isn't any competition. you can always PM me. Thanks again for the info.

I don't see any rule about it, but I'm sure a mod will correct me if wrong.
Try:
