Using a 232a/2313 emu with yvous for DISH and getting 019 (smart card error). Everytime I attempt to start it up (comes up after a few moments of loading stuff from satellite). The system I am using is a 3100 converted using stream to DISH.
Firmware is P225 on a dp-301 and I understand that the 301 on DISH has anti-AVR code. and the pin shorting method doesn't seem to work. But then again I don't know how long to short it for or when. Info was a bit sketchy where ever I found it.
Can anyone give me the proper method to gettnig around the anti-avr on this receiver without using a Capacitor (don't have a 1000 uF cap on hand to pop in there) ??
Or anything else I can do for that matter ??
I understand the Anti-avr software was just that > for an avr . You are using a max mel which has eliminated that problem with a 3100. I speak of bell emulation with a 3100 . Not sure if something is different with dish . They are the same IRD so I suspect my statements are accurate .

well, I had a few issues apart from anti avr code. Managed to build a working 232a/2313 using alternate vcc source @ cap position and got it running on BEV at EV91. Have not attempted the DISH sat since

Hi, I have a 232/2313 emu also with a dp301 receiver and dish firmware. Do you still have a copy of your BEV firmware, as I want to flash this dp301/3100 to BEV firmware. Or can you steer me in the right direction. Thanks

point dish to bev 91, erase SA3 if its a 301.010 using JTAG and Jkeys, let the system update from satellite. (Do without your card/avr/emu in the receiver... then after update use jkeys and jtag and backup a copy of the flash.
For other receivers like the 301.013, there are different ones. Seek and ye shall find

Yes, I have the 301.013 with the single tsop. I was reading a thread where they said erase SA49, does it sound right??? As I find alot of conflicting info on this receiver. Probably becuase of the 2 versions of it.
