I am new to DISH EMU but I do have a 4900 up and running Yvous. I also have a DISHPLAYER 7200 and so far I am not able get Yvous up and running on it. Is there anything special that I have to do in order to get it going? I keep getting this message:

"Your smart card is not properly inserted"

I remove the dummy card and re-insert it and I get the same message. The Yvous sofware never starts up and all of my hardware was fully tested and working on a 4900 before I hooked it up to the 7200.

I am using an internal MAX & MEL board that was tested to work fine on a 4900. I am pulling 5V from the IRD motherboard and not the card slot. I pull the ground from the card slot along with the other 3 connections. I have checked all of my connections and solder joints.

Can anyone help?

Thanks!

make sure the dummy card is all the way inserted, you may have to remove the plastic card guide. the card may not be opening the contacts in the very back of the cardslot, which are very sensitive.
