I have received request to release my engineering documentation on Cat Eye.
I have it all packaged up so anyone can build Cat Eye as I only made one for
myself. It uses specific data to specific commercial hardware but can be a guide to make your own using other hardware if you have some tech or engineering skills. Although this hardware design is not for everyone, it is needed as another fix to get free audio for C Band VC2 which get free video. It shows you how I got two different IRD's working together to form a single system to get a free sub using dave's free audio and VC2's C Band video.
Cat Eye automates the hack using an embeded micro processor with memory storage to convert IR commands and IR Blast the DVR using canned commands and canned data. It uses the Sony B-50 IRD and Replay TV to work with your analog C Band video with the moded VC2. C Band VC2 gets you free video and
dave gets you free audio and Cat Eye automates the total process.
Those interested in downloading my Cat Eye engineering FOR FREE can get the link to d/l this data this Saturday afternoon, May 8th, 2004. The Cat Eye engineering data will only be available a couple of days for down loading starting this Saturday. The file is almost 1 megabyte zipped, contains pictures, source code, schematics, procedures and tools to build your own Cat Eye.
MOST HERE ON MILI'S DON'T NEED IT SINCE BEV and CHARLIE ARE THE ALTERNATIVE CHOICES and Cat Eye is another way to hack using C BAND.
It's free to everyone who want's it. There is only one working, mine, the original prototype. Those that are not interested in the C Band hack don't need it at all.
But if you want a copy, the link will be posted on this thread showing you where to start the down load process web link staring this Saturday afternoon. It'll only be up there for d/l a few days, too big for email, don't even ask. Look for it this Saturday right here on Mili's on this thread and also posted on ID in the C Band forum.
Hey .......... IT'S FREE. It gets your TV working again. Not as good as we once had it but maybe good enough for now. It beats punching codes by hand till your fingers fall off using Auto Roll.
Best of all, it's free .......... and mine works!
