Rom 2 problem

I am getting the following message in nagraedit2. Anyone with any info on rom2 please help. I ve got the script to unlock it but it need a DTV unlooper. So If anyone has a dishpopper for rom 2 using echostar programmer with 3.68Xtal

You Can Do A ONE STEP CLEAN On A Rom2 In NagraEdit! There Are Rom2 Clean Images Floating Around. Get The One That Doesn't Zero Out All You Data, IRD#, BoxKeys, ETC. Or, Get Xcel3.6 To Manage Your Rom2 Image And Nagraedit To Write The Saved Image Back To The Rom2.

that image is from nagraedit 2 when doing the one step clean. did you see the rom revision, and eeprom revision. If I try this card anywhere else it says invalid atr. Xcel 3.6 I get an error when it lots says can't find .dat file when it actually is there. I will have to look at that again. I have also tried atr resureccion on this went up to 3000 tries.

For The Dat File, Open Xcel3.6 And Click on Files, Settings. Click On Files Tab In The Settings Screen. Click The Little Box To The Right Of The The Dat File Used. Make Sure It's Pointing To The Correct Dat File And Then Click The Reload Dat File To Memory Button. You Might Try FreeTalk To Write A Clean Image Back To The Rom2? It's Been Quite Awhile Since I've Used That Program Though.

tried xcel3.6 results were: Invalid atr/no card. I should be ok with using a 3.68Xtal programmer with xcel right or do I need DTV unlooper or loader.
I will have to try freetalk.
I was getting the same result in nagraedit. till I unselected the check backdoor and did one step clean and I got that gibrish in nagraedit for rom rev and eeprom rev.

Did You Calibrate Your Programmer In Xcel3.6? You Could Also Try Reading The Card Using Overflow Method, Under Card, Read EEprom.

calibrated. It says could not get a good atr. In the message screen it says no card/ invalid atr. Iam gonna try freetalk now. Thanks. Will see what happens with that.

here's a bunch of drivers that i installed a while back just to get excell to open up without errors. i would'nt recommend excel to my worst enemy. no need for it. no need to clean a rom2 either. just make a patch and write it. been doing it for 2 years now.

in Xcel isn't there a bugsbegone that can try to unloop Rom2 cards?
Am sure there is... Try it out. But Qwerty could be right.. might be looped 4 good.
Easy to loop Rom2's.

Thanks for the help guys, So there is no hope for that rom2. I have something from revolution X but it is not this unlooperRom2. The one I have is Revolution x .33 Beta. I have tried to force write of good bin and I can make some numbers change in the atr string but not all.

If you can get any numbers in the atr string at all there is still hope. Keep trying the revolutionX file then use Xcell or Nagra and run bugbuster try 128 and go up to 1024 if nessasary. Make sure and select rom2 when using bugbuster.
