I have an elliptical dish from DTV. It has three lnbs, they are mared, 110, 119, and 101. I am trying to get both signals of 110 and 119, but am not having any luck, I am only finding one signal. Can someone post the elevation levels for me. They are not the same as the Dish 500? Correct? How can I obtain them?

First, if this is the older version of the oval dish (DSA8900E) then it will have three separate LNB's. The center one will be 110, but it will NOT work for this. You would need to remove the 110 LNB (it is called a Sat C LNB) and then move the LNB at 101 over to the 110 spot.
The alignment should be ok if it worked for your DTV setup. You will then need to combine the outputs from the 110 and 119 LNB's using a SW21 so that you have a single feed to that receiver.
If the LNB is the all-in-one model where they are not separate, then that won't work at all.

Also, if you did not have this setup for all 3 sats with a DTV system, do you have a DTV receiver that you can hook up to at least do the initial dish alignment with?
You could then tweak it for the Dish sats by using a Sat Strength meter, or a dish receiver and small TV outside near the dish, unless it's on a roof of course.

Good Luck!

It is the older version, with three seperate LNBS. I am not quite understanding what you are saying though. You say to remove the 110 becuase it will not work, but then move the 101 over to the 110 and then it will work? How is this? Are you meaning only certain LNBS will work and the one that is suppose to be in the center will not work? Because this dish is old, and I dont know which LNB was in the center anyway. If I connect the old DTV receiver, and then check the signal metter of the 110 and 119, will it then work for dish as well? Another words are the 110 and 119 dishes the same for DTV and Dish? Thanks for all your help, I have been on the roof for one week, trying to get both signals on one dish.

The older dishes used an LNB at the center (110) position that is not compatible. It was called a Sat C LNB. The two outer LNBs at 101 and 119 will work perfectly well with Dish Network. I meant for you to remove that Sat C LNB, and move the one that was in the 101 position to the center where the Sat C (110) LNB was.
If the LNB's were already removed when you got it, then I'm not sure which the Sat C one is, but it is likely marked as such. If all of your LNB's look identical, then maybe whoever you purchased it from supplied you with all 3 normal LNB's. I can't tell since I'm not familiar with exactly what transpired.
If you put the LNB's back, and connect a DTV receiver, you can align the dish that way, then it will be lined up fine for Dish, but you'll need to use a Dish Network SW21 switch between those LNB's and your Dish Receiver.

Ok great, just to make sure. So what you are saying the DTV 110 and 119 will be the same as the dish network ones. I will give it a try tomorrow. I have been struggling with this so long, I thought the DTV ones would not be the same ones. I am anxious to try it out now, but it is too dark. So as long as the 110 and 119 lineup on the DTV receiver, than it will be the same for the dish network one as well. Do you need a switch for DTV though? I dont remeber, but i think you do. Will just have to do one at a time.
