Does anyone have a jinterface schematic, or picture up close of one, or even just the numbers off the chips they could post here????? Thanks.

Thanks, i would really like to build one, I hate ordering ANYTHING concerning the hobby. By the way I think the MA3221c is just a RS232 to 3 volt interface, made by TI. Now, if I could just find a dump of the ATMEGA8L firmware ....

Not sure about posting a link to it, but if you google "jinterface" you will find many places selling it, plus some are on ebay. But, I think I have seen a sticky on this forrum somewhere about where and where not to buy, so given that info and the google search, you should be good to go ....

Oh, I have seen them for 40 or 50 dollars.

Do you actually have a jInterface?
If not, go into the preferences within Jkeys, and change jInterface to Parallel Port, and make sure your Jtag is plugged into your printer port and not a com port.

If you have jInterface, then make sure your comport is selected in the preferences.

Again, thanks for the info, it has been very helpful. I have only one more question if I may. In the attached picture, I have drawn a red box around the smt resistors, could you tell me the 3 digit number printed on them. I am assuming they are all the same. Thanks again.

They are all 1K ohm. The Eeprom and Atmel flash are standard in Jkeys versions that support J-Interface, So flash needed is easy to get for it.

Grigz, Download 299-11 and use the flash from that to upgrade to j-Interface fimware, Found that one works best with all versions of Jkeys that support J-Interface.
