Hey guys, I recently did the Vid Mod on a 301.013 DASA\DASC IRD but now the screen stays black and the LED flashes periodicaly. I can read the TSOP fine but I don't get any menus or video of any kind on the screen. I tried reflashing the TSOP & EEPROM with originals that I backed-up but no luck. Someone told me that I might not be receiving signals from both sats (119 & 110) and that might cause the IRD to not be able to update...Does that sound right? Can someone plase help...

do you have the momentary switch on it for the junkyard fix,, if you do sometimes the switch is bad and lets in alittle current and it will do the update, then by the time its almost done , it will start all over again,,, do a test on the switch if you have one installed,,,,just a thought,,,

Thanx 4 your response Wizsler but I don't have a momentary switch connected. I used a regulated power supply for the vid mod and re-soldered the SB35 connection after I was done. Do you have any other ideas? I'm sure that your previous reply will help someone else though!

you can always try another ird and see if it picks up both sats , to rule out the two sats, as long as your lite is working , theres hope,, i have one i think i have to replace the chip in it i have tried all sorts of stuff from members , just havent found the right one.still no lite... you can always when all else fails do the junkyard fix,,, i have and it will work and update the ird , so long as the lite will come on.... alot of people dont like to do this, what you are doing is shorting and address lin to ground , this puts a strain on the logic circults , it corrupts the flash memory and forces the ird into a reload state. you must use caution, not to short it to long,, only a few seconds,,there are files out there for this,,, if all esle fails......
