It's the lock keeping it from updating, It's turning on trying to is all, I would not worry about it.

If everything is working I'd leave it, Why fix something not broke yet. The IRD is on all the time anyway, Just the power light and video/audio are turned off, The rest is always on when it is plugged in. If you start losing channels from too old soft then time to think of maybe a update then. Problem is once you get the update cannot go back if problems pop up as no jtag on that receiver
