bev 3100 to dish

hey all,

I'm trying to switch over to dish from bev and I've run into a small problem; all the instructions I've found state you have to get the dish itself pointed correctly before zapping sa3.

I set the azimuth (roughly that is) and elevation as calculated at the bellexpress.vu site but I can never get a signal. The instructions also indicate I should be doing this with no card in it, but when I try it won't let me get into the system setup menu option.

I even tried looking for a dish TSOP (EAED) so I could flash the IRD and point it with the dish s/w but there isn't one in the TSOP bank.

Help?

ok, the no card in refers to a card that has no blockers on it for dish.... program your card for dish then put it in and take your time to adjust the dish.... it is tricky but you will need to do it slowly.... make sure that you are looking for the 119 sat as the 110 is not visable easily in some areas....

.but if you can find the dish sat you are looking for then just erase sa 3 in flash 1 and connect it to the correctly pointed sat dish.....that is still working as far as i know.....

and that tsop build is a common one ...just do a search for it on th net you'll find all kinds if that is your last resort.....
