I need some help or tips getting this thing to unlock, this is my first attempt at bev and so far outta luck
I run the A3D opener in winex, and it seems to do what it is supposed to , so than i go to nagra than hit the one step backup,
and no go,,
backdoor retrieval blocked...
using a extreme pro iso.
any tips for a new guy
i am a D*V mod but am totally clueless to this stuff

This is not always true. Yesterday when I was trying to unlock my A3D, I was getting the same error. Consistently. What the problem was is that I was using my laptop that had a USB - serial adapter which I would plug my ISO into. For some reason, you cannot use an adapter to unlock the cards. It has something to do with precise timing, and UART. The USB simulates the serial port, it is not an actual serial port.

Anyways, when I tried it on my desktop, it worked no problem. No error.

If you are using a regular serial port on your computer then you are SOL, but if you are using a USB port, then try the serial it should work.
