Trying to save TSOP. Got a dp301-013 jtaged.
Saved the tsop and the eeprom, however when I open it in flash edit, it says, it's the wrong size. Couple of questions:
1. The file size is just over 2MB - is this correct? or should it be 4MB file?
2. Is there a second chip I should be dumping as well? besides the eeprom?
3. Do I need to do the vid mod before reading the TSOP? I assume this is only for writing to the TSOP and eeprom.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I am by no means an expert at this but I have gotten soo much help from this site that I feel obligated to try and help someone else...so...
I guess the first thing you'd need to know is whether your IRD has one or two TSOPs. I have not yet worked with a single TSOP IRD but I know that the 301.013s with two TSOPs have a drop down window that will show U10 & U12 if you have both.
If you do have two TSOPs BACK UP BOTH and the EEPROM! I think that the combined total of both TSOP images should be about 4MB. You can read the TSOP without the vid mod but you'd need it connected to write data to the chip.
Hope this helps.

Thanks, I will try that.
