Quad jtag

I have a quad jtag and I've been trying to read my ird for the last couple hours and can't seem to get it work... keep getting 0xFFFFFFF unkown device, I don't know what to do... any help?

i had to enlarge the openning 1/8 of an in towards the back of the receiver so the quad jtag pins could make connection, an it worked
ya i had to two the thing has 7 pins and not five

Ive got one and I havent been able to get it to work either. I like my regular one better....More reliable.
