I have a spare BEV 2700 receiver and I wonder if I can convert it to Dishnet. Will it work and what will I have to do and get for it.Thanks in advance.

Hey I also could use some help.
I followed the intructions in the" how to " files The convert between dishnet and bev.
When I plug in the ird should there be a card in it ? and if so which card?
I have a bev and changing it to dish. Can I program the bev card to dish?

Hey it's me again. Ok. I pluged in the receiver. The dish net remote controll station comes up, the guide looks like dish i think?(never saw bev) But there is no sound. Did I do something wrong? Also got error reading memory in jkeys. Help please!

Yes cam has to be valid to receive updates.
read threads on flashedit2 program and also on flagged eprom.
i.e. if sys info shows -f instead of - N at the software version.
the no sound could be because of the error you got from jkeys.
look for the part of flashedit that says fix crc make sure it is green before saving file. then write that file to your ird.
make sure you flash eprom also when you flash the tsop.
It sounds like you epprom is corrupt or you need to flash it to current.
in flashedit after you download the build config you need you can edit the ird# and box keys to what yours are before you write it back to ird.

yes you can convert look up what sector to erase and make sure you also have a valid cam id and boxkeys on cam WITH a BLOCKER or your cam will get stream locked.
search for thread converting bev to dish and look at birdie mods sig for ecm fix sectors to erase.

would try some simple steps before erasing anything on IRD do a check for evrything. jtag connection ,valid cam, signal strenth, blocker box keys software version,
note* sometimes power has to be off to take update with ird plugged into wall and sat feed, on the other hand unplug sat feed for sure when jtagging and to be safe pull the card out,

hope this gives you something to chew on until you pinpoint the error.
them units if set up properly with a good blocker and correct ppv hi/lo id's work very well and guides are fast and ecm recovery relativly easy.

O.K. reading ,reading, and figuring out.
When I get to the flash program on the 2700 ird am I to sodder a piece of wire from pin1 to ground on the main board ? If so do I take it off later or do I leave it?
