I am currently using DTV at 230 degrees with an elevation of 35. (18" dish)

To use Dish 110 sat I need to find 241 degrees with an elevation of 30.

I can not find 110 no matter how hard I try. Would a satellite finder help and does anyone know how they are. Or could any guess how far I would have to move the dish to change it by 10 degrees.

After messing the dish all up, I went back to DTV and got a signal of 98 in one minute. This sucks, I want to try out my dish stuff so bad.

Thanks Monster2

10 degrees is ten degrees no matter where you are. just think of it as a circle around the pole it's mounted on, and devide that by 36, move on 1/36th and you'll be pointing the right direction. If you think of 1/4 of the way around that circle, that's 90 degrees, so you only need to move 1/9th of that distance. It's less than 5 inches and more than 1 inch, but that would depend upon where your measuing from.

You can also move it approximately 10 degrees, and then slowly start moving the elevation up and down, then move it a 1 or 2 degrees, and then up and down again.
A sat finder would save you a lot of trouble, but whether you use a receiver/tv to find it, or a sat finder, you'll get it eventually.
