Cappy, let me reopen this thread for a moment, and share my perspective on this subject.

Cogame, first, you're not being jumped on for your post, other than being reminded to place the subject at hand in the proper place.
Understand this is a red-hot topic right now...besides being graphic to the extreme. I fully agree and stand shoulder to shoulder with you in your outrage - I could write for hours on the subject, and the wisdom (or lack thereof) of our entire mission in Iraq.

What I can't do is take a chance on mayhem breaking out in the forum, and I'm afraid that's exactly what will happen. This is a multinational/multicultural arena, with people all over the world reading these words.

It's just too sensitive right now. Personally, I'm as angry as I've ever been in my life...and even more so because I don't know how to respond, or respond to.

The best thing we can all do is keep the Berg family in our thoughts, and if you choose to do so, your prayers...and get our soldiers home. This is a war that may never be won...and I'm no longer willing to see my brothers and sisters murdered on the internet, in the interest of converting an entire civilization that would rather just be left alone to deal with their own issues.

I'll leave the thread open for a few comments...agree or disagree with me as you will - then for the good of our testing community, I'm closing it down.

I have to agree with Chief's every word. As someone who reads the paper every day and keeps up with current events, I could go on about this issue for days. There are so many affiliated issues that this thread could really spiral out of control. Coming from someone who got into it a little bit with mdeven about religion, you leave this thread open at your own peril. Just my $.02

I hear ya Chief but I think that for people in the military retied or those that were in other wars don't need to see this stuff ...
Curiosity , sure we all have it but working in that ( somewhat ) kind of field myself it bothers me and I take it will bother others and bring back bad memories , it did for me ...

You know what career I was in and have seen things like this during my 30 years , accidental of course but still it is a hard thing to see and very bothersome ...
