Ok what's it for? The one that covers the top of the bottle on every bottle of 151 I have bought.

It must serve some purpose. I just can't figgure it out.

These sort of things bother me. I just have a need to know why or it bugs me all the time until I find out.

I am beginning to think it's some sort of twisted plot to make you think while you enjoy a few drinks. Or is it just something to vent some mindless violence on while you have a few drinks. Like ripping it off so you can mix em quicker.

The screen is to keep small insects out of the liquor. Most bars, restaraunts use the pour tops on thier bottles and those little bugs like to get in sweet liquors mostly, but they will get in others as well. Most of those cheap pour tops dont have a screen or valve built in them and the little bugs go right in there and have a party. Dont believe me? Ask a bartender or health inspector.
