ROM 3 REV 378 how to unlock?

Is there a way to unlock it? If so how? Tried several programs in the download section and can't get it to unlock. Thanks.

Do a search and see if you can find a post that I wrote dealing with a 378-380-381 popper. It worked for me.

i wish i waited only 1 more week to try to pop my 378's..... now i have 2 looped ROM 3's. :(

man, Ive tried rompuke 3 and 4, the 378-380-381 unlocker, opensesame, rompopperv2 for a good period of time....nothing doing. That 378 rom3 wants to stay locked. Im thinking about sending it in...any suggestions?

i don't know if this will work.... but i notice there are some 382 unlockers....
maybe you should try to get it to take an update in the stream?

go to dss rookie amd downn load unlock 378 380 381 works everytime

Unlocker 378 380 381 changed my card to a REV381. I tried to unlock it using some of the things in the download section but its still locked. I didn't see rompopper anywhere. Did I miss it and if I didn't where can I get it? Thanks everyone for their help!

FYI......I was going CRAZY, trying to unlock my rom3, rev 378 on my laptop (700 Celeron running XP pro) with no luck for over a week....finally tried it on my desktop (P3 running Win98) popped first try.

I guess that's why they call it testing....

PS.... Used an unlocker from Penga

I'll try using a slower computer and Win98. I tried popping it with a P4 1.7 using Win2000 Pro with no luck. Thanks Captret.

did you get the unlocker from dss rookie site this is the only one that i found worked also do a one step back up and clean

When I used the 378-380-381, I ran the 378, then used rompopperv2 unlock. The 378 program updated it to 381 for me, then I used the rompopper to unlock it from the 381 status.

For some reason it wont update the revs on my card? Should it at least do that no matter what?

How long did it take to update your 378 ROM? I have been running the 378-380-381 script for a while. Im on try # 1500 and all it says is "invalid response from CAM resending packet". I have been trying to unlock this card for months and have used just about every rom3 util out there. I had high hopes for the method you described. Actually, I still do. I just wonder how long it will take.

I update Rom3 Rev378 using dishrom3rev378-380-381isounlocker.zip from down section. The card now at Rev381 but still lock.

I also tried using DishRom3Popper-v02.zip let it run over night, but no luck.

Using the Nagraedit 4.1 I got the error:

Opening of COM1 was successful
ATR String: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX (X is a hex number)
XXXXXXXXX
ROM Revision: 003
EEPROM Revision: Rev381
Logging into card
Checking for BackDoor
BackDoor appears to be closed, aborting
Error reading image from card
Closing of COM1 was successful

How did you get to card loop? How can you tell?

I do not have, nor can't remember ever needing a amperage reduction circuit. I did a google search and came up pretty well empty there also.

I went through a locked rom 3 card
worked on it on and off for a month
then other night I figured out how to unlock it
I used one of the rompopper with win ex
it worked
I was so damn excited
I went on net got a public download with blocker in it
friedddddddddd card
now I can not get into it say`s invalid atr
be carefull out there

I finally got all of my 378s to pop. All I had to do was purchase a new rom programer. I guess my old H card programer was just not cutting the mustard. I got the dual crystal one that mili sells, and it works very nicely.
Of course, now that I have hammered these cards with every cheezy public utility I could find, they are all marked but one.
Oh well... live and learn.....
