ok i put my card in, and i get nothing, not even the menu. i can change channels, but only music channels work, so i cant access the menu to check anything.

the menu turns on without the card, but then says smart card removed so that doesnt work.

any suggestions this thing is making me mad.

boxkeys or anything else you need to jteg doesnt change with updates does it, because this is a 7100 so i cant jtag it, but i got a married card for it.

also ird status-suspened

if that means anything

I am certainly a newbie and have been investing in Dish hardware after the demise of the HU card. Now I have a 301 receiver with the jtag visible on the bottom. I have a jtag programmer and quad crystal card programmer. The card that I hve is a Rom 10 blue card. When I plug in the receiver I get a not authorized message.

So, I need to know what I should do first to get this receiver and card functioning. Is there someone out there that can help me directly or refer me to the correct instruction that may be available here??

Thanks for the reply. I really do not know how to check boxkeys. The remainder of your instructions I can do. My IRD is a 301 and it has jtag acess on the bottom. I think I need to program the Rom 10 card as it came with the IRD that I bought on ebay. I have no idea of what the status of that card is.

I think it is a 301-10 That is what was described when I bought iton ebay. It does come with the jtag hole open. I understand the 013 does not have that open jtag hole on the bottom.

Guys, the purpose of the forum is to discuss this sort of stuff. Using it instead as a way to connect up and do the communication off of the forum isn't very useful for the other members here. Most of the questions have already been answered anyway. It's actually fairly rare to see something truly new posted anymore. Just search and the answers are usually available.
In addition, I would edit that post above and remove my email address, you pretty much just told the whole world who you are.

I'm thinking about relocating to LA, you can help with that, right?

Well...new topic. Relocating to LA. You have the right person. I am a real estate broker and I can find you a place. Just give me details on when, where and the usual stuff.
