Emulation question

Okay, if someone has a max & mel external interface, and a JTAGed 3700 receiver, what does it take to emulate? Does the max & mel need a flash? If so, how is that done? I haven't figured it out from m24c.n#t. Can it be done with a D!sh programmer? If so, how? Where would one download CEMU, version later than 4/1/04? Does one need a subbed CAM ID? Sorry if I ask newbie questions, I've been reading for weeks, and am still confused...

I have the exact setup, home made max/mel and 3700.

1) You need a Jtag to get boxkey or get it via the card
2) Build or buy max/mel (keep the cable short while testing)
3) Yes you need to flash max/mel with an image, get the file from m24c
4) I use cemu 72b but others using yvous and some others (anything except winvu would work
5) I use cemu so my setup is exactly like programming a card except the blocker.

CEMU 2/1/04 and latter s/b good (get it in DSSFTP Echostar file section). Don't have to be 4/1/04 or latter . For Dish you need good CAM ID (use Scammer to generate a few and try them all) and good PPV. For Bev use S04 5012 xxxx (xxxx= any number you want).
