I know, read and learn to do your own...

I am in the process of figuring this all out, but if anyone has done PPV strings for a ROM2 and is willing to share, please post.

TIA

Get Xcel3.6 To Manage Your Rom2 Images. You Can Edit The PPV Strings Inside Xcel3.6 Like You Can Inside Nagraedit With The Rom3/10. Read The Help In Xcel3.6. Use Nagraedit To Write The Saved/Updated Image Back To The Rom2. Use The Search Button For Rom2, Xcel, ETC, And Start Reading.

PPV string for a ROM2 is same as for a rom3... read, read, and read again.

Thanks Smurf and Tex for pointing me in the right direction.

Indal, I'm not looking for a free handout just some sample strings to study and learn to do my own. It's always easier to learn from a working example then to try to reinvent the wheel completely from scratch.

Thanks for everyone's advice. In the mean time I figured out how to do it in excel and am up and running.

JJ you are in the dishnet rom programming asking about bell. You might be using dishnet files for your rom and putting it in bellexpress IRD.
Newbies - Im sick of people that start the thread I know read and read but I did all the reading and now Im confused. To me it means shit, read it thourghly. I hope people would stop using that line and just post the question.

Here is xcel I don't know where you were searching but it was in the files section under echostar.

J.J.,

If You Are Getting Error #020, Your IRD# On The Card Doesn't Match The IRD# In The Tsop.

You Have To Put The Correct IRD#, In Hex Format On The Card. Open The Rom2 Image In Xcel3.6. Right Hand Boxes You Can Input The IRD# In Hex Or Click The Little Box With (3) Dots In It And Type The Ird#, Minus The R And The -## At The End. Or Use Nagraedit 1.1, It Has A Limited Data Editor.
