Can someone tell me the address on a ROM 3 Rev 372 so that I can edit the data pointer to point to the proper area on the card.?
And what that data should be?
From reading here it seems that that may correct the error "Dataspace is invalid" when I try to write to the card or try to do a "One step clean" in NE4.1 or 4.0
NE gets the ATR, gets the backdoor password but during the reading card process it gives me the aforementioned error.
I have two cards that give me this error. One has not been in the stream for several years and was a good sub. One is supposed to be a virgin from Mili. Another that was not in the stream for several years cleaned just the way its supposed to, also a former sub from the same friend who gave me one of the ones with the error. He never played with the cards and had a regular sub on both of them.
I am using Milis dual crystal ISO also new but had a broken Cap when received, which I repaired.
Tried battery supply and Var Power supply with no difference, tried another computer with no difference. Tried to write a clean bin still no go always the same error. Bad data Space.
I saw a post here at one point that someone had a similair problem and edited the EEPROM to point to the correct place on the card. Something about a corrupt pointer, and this corrected it.
But I dont know the address to write to or what I should write in order to correct this problem.
Mili said he never heard of this error but I have seen a few other people ask about it as well as myself.
I had posted this in the Newbie area but have not heard anything about the "editing" needed for the pointer. Although Sukh77 did try to help me.
Just thought one of the pros might help me out.
