If received a 4700 with a ROM 3. When I put the card in it says it's not the right card. I figure that this card was married to another unit. I have tried to get the box keys but to no avail. I had a few people try to get the box keys and they couldn't. We are all getting 0xffffff. One person says that the Jtag port must be dead.

I'm able to program the card to work with another receiver. My question is, is there any way of programming the card to be virgin that when I do put it in the receiver that it would marry to that receiver and then I could read the box keys?

Has anybody have any other ideas on how I could retrieve the box keys if the Jtag port is not working (like anywhere else on the motherboard where I could connect wires to my Jtag reader).

Thanks for any help!

The jtag port is not going to be dead. Keep trying the jtag. Check your ground conection on the box. Make sure the box is plugged into power when you go to read it. If you have a similar box test that one and that should eliminate the LTP port and the jtag its self as the problem. Sometimes you have a computer that uses a different LTP#. You can change that in Jkeys settings.

You must also remember that if you do not get a reading, you must unplug power from IRD, remove jtag, close Jkeys. Then connect jtag, apply power to IRD, then fire up Jkeys. Gotta do those steps everytime you try.

Forgot to mention...

No, the card will not marry to the IRD. The only way that can happen is if you call DN and subscribe. They'll ask the IRD# and the CAM#...

I have another 4700 and used my Jtag reader on that one and it works perfectly.

Deductions: Jtag is OK and Port is OK.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
