The 322 is a Dual Tuner setup without a card.

You cannot test on it. But I have looked at the info screen with some interesting information.

Its locked @ Rev380. Even though the later revisions are there and in the stream, its not necessary for this box to update apparently.

Even though you figure it would by default, since auto-update it set, nothing.

If you can still opt for 301's (which 99% of dealers don't have them now AFAIK, I saw the entire truck full my guy brought, all 322 and a few of the DVR's. He didn't have a single 301 on him.

I think if your installer lets you opt for it, get the 301's, if not, go with the 322 and buy a secondary box for testing (best option anyway)

Some Wallymart still has 301's you can buy for about 90.00

I would assume that these IRD's have a card built onto the motherboard of the IRD itself?

Would it not be easier to dump these chips? They appear to be Rom 103's on the info screen... Are they not?

Or are they covered up with some anti tamper stuff on the board inside the IRD?

Just wondering ????

Looking forward to testing some legit progy's on the new Nagra 2... It's been so quiet for soooooo long on Nagra 1

:-)
