Hey, Guys! I got two, ROM 10 cards @ Rev A23 (crud !) . I've read all the posts here but am still confused. Is there ANY way to unlock these cards yet? Freeware? I get the ATR just fine.
Thanks!!!

You can use an avr until those cards can be unlocked. They have come way down in price, or use mili's magic card, I hear they work great too.

used rompopper version2. used couple of times before it popped out but it did. There is one more file which also helps. it is the Tenares rev23 file in the dssfiles.com in the echostar rom files section.
Hope this helps you guys.

guys,
that is NOT for TRUE stream locked rom10's at revA23..it will not be able to open their backdoors..those files ONLY work if the card had some previous blocker on it and was spoofed to rev A23 or had some minor corruption in the BD0 key..this is NOT for true stream locked rom10's at REVA23.
you can damage your rom10 at revA23 playing these games.
wait for a real unlocking script or PROOVEN method is released or for ther dealers to start offering an unlocking service for them..neiother of which is yet available.
rompopper v2 is NOT for true steramlocked rom10's at revA23, but it can re-open cards that have the rev spoofed at revA23 ir any revision for that matter.

I have a good question for this one. Does anyone know approximately what time the Actual Rev 23 update took place?? I have 2 rom 10's that are rev 23 that have not been in the stream since 1998. I would assume if they are rev 23's the update took effect before that because even if they were "spoofed into rev 23's" the actual update would have already happenned.

Threre are no proven files at this time. Find me a dealer also?

The A23 happened in 2k04 so that is a pyhsical impossability for those cams to be updated via stream to A23....someone must have spoofed them or they have been in the stream recently.
FYI guys ....there is no unlocking of A23's ATM.

That is what I thought, would there have been a spoof that long ago??

wouldn't the cam date update with the revision update?? the cam date says 0D86 which comes out to December 6 1998 in Magenagradate. I don't see how it could have taken the update without taking the cam date with it, but I am only guessing here.

I don't really know about the cam date being updated as well, since those cards were desybed long ago.......but the fact they are streamlocked to rev. A23 means they have been exposed to the stream......or someone updated them with a23 bin using sosia or similar program.....:)
