Ok, here is my issue: I have 3 brand new out of the box 301's from Wally mart. All have been vid modded, digital locked, and set-up for internal emulation with Max-Mel boards. I have a Quad dish-pro dish and I am running the identical Rom and eeprom files on each setup (all have different Cpus running, all cpus are either Athlon >1600mhz, or Pentium >1200mhz cpus; all >500K RAM). They each get the identical channels since the tiers are the same, and I have 3 atmega 128s that have the identical PFG files programmed (as a second test measure).
Problem: One of the IRDs keeps giving me the "Lost satellite signal" message and it seems that the channel that it can't lock onto, maps to either sat 110 transponder 24 or transponder 26 with my particular setup. I have switched IRDs around and I get the same result with that particular box in any location (so that rules out a potential problem w/ wiring and LNB issues or CPU issues.) I have went through all of the measures that I could think of to fix this problem including erasing and reflashing both TSOP and eeprom chip and starting over from scratch with the whole "downloading vital infromation to your reciever" proceedure, but I still get that error. I am stumpd now@!
Is my box defective? Is there some crystal or chip that can be replaced that controls the transponder signals? What can I do?
THANX!
