Can't get signal from 119

Got an IRD 2800 from the states...set it up and get 002 error
Cannot acquire signal 119....any help is greatly appreciated

What kind of dish are you using? Do you have a switch installed? Does the dish work with other receivers?


ok here goes....The dish works with my 301-010 converted from Bev to DN...now I got this from eBay...Jtagged it...got all info...IRD#, Cam, Boot st..15ABC5CD

what other info can I give you??
I set it up with un married sub...get chanel info ..but black screen, an error 002.
go into sys info and set up info, sat signal info says sat 110...change this to 119 on all transponders but as soon as I change the chanel it reverts to 110 and the error message.

Hook up your Jtag, erase the SA5 sector three times and hook it back up to the sat cable and let it restream. See if that helps. Also, have you done a check switch with that receiver? Go into menu, press 6-1-1 then run the check.

I have a 2800 that I am trying to get up and running with Dish500 Antenna. Do I need the DishPro Adapter or is the 2800 DishPro ready?
It seems that it will only locate the 110 bird.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I think you need the adapter. I am new to *ish, but refer to the link.

You Will Only Need The Adapter If The LNB's Are DishPro And The Receiver Is Legacy (2800).
