Dead pvr508

I have an xsub pvr508 that wont light up in any way and no tv out signal. The fan in back works but the hard drive wont come on. I know it has never been modified or opened up before me looking at it. If I unplug the ribbon cable to the hard drive and plug the wall power in, the drive will spin up but still, no lights on the front. It has a yellow card. If anyone has any ideas, let me know... Its just sitting idle and was not in use. Thanks..

The flash and or eeprom may have become corrupted, that can happen during updates or ECM's.

I have a dead 508 too. If you’re up to Jtaging, see if you can read the memory. The 508 will come up without the hard disk.

I’m looking for a dead 508 for parts. I can read the processor type, but not the memory. It won’t go into the program mode either. The Jtag works great with my other 508, so I know it’s working. Let me know if you want to unload it.
