Can read from the top of the mainboard?

Or do I use a Quad Mode J-Tag instead?

That's right the J31 reader/writer is the best and only if your
going to read from the top of the mainboard

I also have a BEV 3100 and just ordered the magic card, programmer, and JTAG from Mili (who I also must say is the best). I haven't received it yet, and I have no idea WTF to do when I do get it. I've been reading as much as I can but there's still some fog surrounding.
I'd like to know about pans for Dish. My wife would like to get the spanish stations and I have a few 18" dishes left over form Dave but only one Dish LNB. Can anyone suggest the best way to capture the spanish stations etc. and let me know what I need in the way of equipment?

I have a 3100 reciever and have used the quad mode jtag with poor results holding those pogo pins on the ird was almost impossible, I got bad reads everytime...

diablo, you can setup 2 pans if you want to get 110 & 119. Just get yourself a SW21 switch and ya got both birds! .....and you'll keep the little lady happy!

bobkob, I've never had problems with any Quad jtag. Just got to have a steady hand.

BEV has a set up for 2 lnb's for their pans. Different birds obviously but can they be pointed to 110 and 119, or do I use one lnb on each pan for Dish?

As for the jtag, isn't there a mod that holds the jtag in place on those pins?
I thought I saw aomething in the BEV to Dish thread that would take card of that problem.
