I just go my new (used) 7100 the card is already running great.
I bought a new 120 gig Maxtor and would like to know if my procedure to do the upgrade is correct B4 I begin the swap....
remove cover
remove the old 8 gig
make sure the new one is set up on master
install new one
reinstall cover
hook up to TV
do not hook up to dish
plug in phone line
plug in receiver
Push OPTIONS, 8675309. <<<<< this I don't understand????
After the light show on front panel, turn on ird and it will dial MSN ( not charlie ) and take a 45 minute/63 part download
hook up the dish
it will download the guide
WATCH TV....
One question I have is during this process do I leave the working card in in the reciever or remove it???
the other is....
is that all there is to upgrade the hard drive? or am I missing anything
