ok, going to set up my 301.010 receiver. receiver has no JTAG port, so after removing the top cover can i JTAG from the top of the board? are there any files/pictures showing programming instructions for the DP301.010?

can i use the latest JKEYS program to read the 301.010? will it automatically save both TSOPS since i think from my readings that the 301.010 has two TSOPS? any help would be greatly appreciated. also, is the digital lock 3 strongly recommended for this receiver? have read that the other receiver i have up and running (2700) is the easiest to work with and digital locking is not greatly recommended for this reason.

again, in my opinion it's best to ASK QUESTIONS NUMEROUS TIMES and only program once (or loop cards, damage IRD'S in the process!!)

The port is on the circuit board bottom, Just the case is not cutout on later models. The top Ejtag can be used, But the connections are in a different order.
When you do save mem, it will save flash 1 only, then click on flash2 and save mem again, then you have both tsops backed up.
If you are new at 301 duals, they can be a bear restoring tsops, You may want to add a lock to help. Never delete full flashes unless you know what you are doing, They can be very hard to restore if messed up for newbies. Trust me, Everyone that has fixed 301 duals can tell you a nightmare story about the first one they screwed up learning the hard way...

ok, so will the most current JKEYS work on the 301.010? if so, hook up the buffered JTAG and read the tsop and then save? just like the 2700 receiver?

also, is there a schematic somewhere showing where to cut the case of the 301.010 for access to the JTAG port?

when you press save mem, do the prongs still have to be touching,
because i have a 301.010 and once it detected ird, i took off the jtag and then i "save mem" on both flashes and it gave me 2 bins at 2mb each. should i redo them
