Dish 500 aming and 2800 IRD

Changed over from DAVE to Charlie.. or at least trying to. Dish 500 w/built in switch (Legacy) one cable connected to LNB 119,,,, checked with Sat Finder meter/beeper .. Signal there until I plug the 25' cable into old DAVE spliter then dead.. Used Meter/beeber on other side of splitter and no signal but without splitter have signal.
Shouldn't the signal go thru the splitter. I know it is good because I used it with DAVE.
Or do I need to use one Long cable without a splitter..

I don't believe U can use "Spliters" SW-21,for 119 & 110 etc.,but not "Spliters"!

Daves switches do not work on charlies stuff, If you need to extend a cable get a straight through barrel connector, If you need switches have to use charlies types.

Ok, I put a barrel connector between the two cables.. hooked up to IRD,,, went to Muti Dish,, then 500 and changed transponder to 11 and still no signal.
Disconnected cable from IRD connected to Signal Strenth Meter/beepr and I have a signal there...
Not a strong signal but a signal
Completed the diagnostic on IRD and that comes back with everything OK
