Problem geting a signal from 119

I had a similar problem. I used DTV and I couldn't find Dish's 119 bird, but I could get the 110 bird. I ended up realizing that there is an evergreen tree in the way as to where the 119 Dish bird should be.

Here in Canada, our dishes need to be aimed almost parallel with the horizon so trees and other blockages can become a great nuisance.

Its going to be close to this:

Echostar 5 (119)
Azimuth: 230.14 Degrees
Elevation: 26.07 Degrees

Echostar 6/8 (110)
Azimuth: 220.57 Degrees
Elevation: 31.07 Degrees

And I believe those numbers are for "true north" not magnetic north. (Well, elevation doesn't matter true or magnetic)

Compasses look at magnetic north, thus why they have magnets in them. :) And true north is a difference of about 10 degrees. (Can't remember if it plus or minus, so just pan in the area.)

i just have a single BEV 18' dish and a signle LNB with 1 output
i though you dont need a switch for that setup.
sorry, you will only be able to get 110 or 119, not both. 110 has most of the PPVs. I would stick with 110. more porn too.

I had 119 signal this morning, it is now gone. 110 is working fine. My switch check says conn under 119 and 110 shows odd. I tried moving the line to the other side but no difference. Can anyone verify that 119 is there?

If it helps, north is 360, east is 90, south is 180, and west is 270.

Can someone simply say that 119 signal is alive and well? Simple question. A simple yes or no will do.
