How would I go about changing the LNB on my dave dish and where would I buy one? I have a very new dishpro IRD and a very new DishPro21 switch (not SW21). I know I need a dishpro LNB to attach to my dave dish and am asking for instructions. Any help is greatly appreciated.

You don't want to put that pro dish net lnb on a dave dish. There is no skew adjustment on a dave dish, and you will need that adjustment to align that pro lnb. Get a dish net dish or mount two seperate dave dishes and use your switch.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. This is to get 61.5. I already have a dishpro500 getting 110 and 119. So I wouldn't need to skew.

Oh, then just use the same lnb that you used for dave. It will work, you will just be hitting a different bird. You will need a cascadeable sw21 switch though. I don't know if the switch your referring to is cascadeable or not. Either that or an sw64 switch to combine them all at once.

Okay here's my problem. Perhaps you can help me. I hooked the dish up directly to my receiver to find the signal for 61.5 and I keep getting NC (no connection; no satellite feed) when I run a check switch. Do you think my dish is messed up?

With only the 61.5 dish hooked up, you will have to tell the receiver which bird your trying to hit. 61.5 in this case. Once you get that dish aimed, hook everything up together and run check switch.

Right, I changed it to 61.5, ran check switch, still get no connection;no satellite feed. I don't even get to try to aim it.

Do you have a sat beeper, or are you just eyeballing it?

I'm eyeballing it. Do you think I would get no connection;no satellite feed if it wasn't pointed at the right spot? I thought it would at least tell me I was connected.

legacy style dishes are not compatible with D/P dishes or hardware. I just finished readin that in a thread. and from the install manual yesterday. it all must be the same. there is a switch (cannot rememer #) that will convert feed. but you need all the same type dish with oppisite IRD. You would probably be better off going to a local electronics store to find another D/P dish or off of the bay. there was some componets in the for sale forum. Hope it helps some

Right, that's what I read too. I also read that a dtv dish would work with a legacy system as is, which leads me to believe it won't work with a dishpro system (since dishpro and legacy aren't compatible). So I'm going to get a single dishpro lnb for about 60.00 bucks. It seems as though I have a dtv dish that's easy to change over.

You can use any receiver with a legacy lnb. You can not use a legacy receiver with a dish pro lnb. The receivers are backward compatable. The legacy receiver does not have the voltage to push the pro lnb.
