A friend of mine says that the atmega is the way to go for testing both bev and dishnet. I have read that the atmega is more vulnerable to ecm and the like. I was wondering if someone could tell me the downside of the atmega or if the magic card is better or not. I plan on testing dishnet but may go back to bev. I have a 2700 reciever as well with a married subscribed card (rom 3)as well as another 2700 with a married unsubscribed card (rom 10). I may be getting a 7200 pvr receiver as well.

Thanks in advance,
mpyr.

I had the same question a couple of weeks ago. So I ordered both. I tried my Atemga first. It was a breeze to get it programed for Bev. But I got ecmed in 20 minutes, and I did a JYF on my 3100 and now I'm using my subbed card again. I ordered a lock and will be tring it out as soon as it arrives. Hopefully it will take the ecm and not screw up my Ird. I will be tring the Magic card next. I have a sub to Bev so I understand that in married sub mode I should not get hit with Ecm's. But I have been reading lately that some testers have been getting hit in married sub mode. My opinion so far is I have to get the lock installed. :) :)
