I have followed the directions for a quick fix after an ecm. I have gone and erased SA5 a number of times then restreamed to no avail. After you erase are you supposed to hit program?

Hey Nifty you don't have your card in the IRD do you?
Just hook up cables plug in turn on tv and should work..
You can reprogram the whole thing if you need to, but try your best to get it going first...

Ahh, Ya I do have my card in. Are you supposed to take it out while you erase the SA5?

Take card out, erase SA5 three times, unplug IRD, connect to sat feed, plug back in, do not turn on or put card in, leave exposed to sat feed 5-30 mins, should be updated. Fire up IRD with card, do installation routine, ie> checkswitch, should be tv.

Well tried it, doing exactly as per Cimba's instructions. No go. I still must be doing something wrong. What is the installation routine? I did everything above then did a checkswitch test.
With my next try I'm going to erase all and reflash with my saved tsop.

Ok, lets step back here. What card are you using, what does your system information screen show? Unless I've missed something we don't have any of that info.

If the ird had a pic on the tv right away SA5 did not delete.

I'm using a Rom 3 Card, and the pic didnt come up right away. I got the message waiting for a satellite signal, then it went to the information channel.
System Info is as follows:
Model ID 2700/3700/2800
Receiver CA ID---
Smard Card ID---
Dish 500 Card REady DNASP003 Rev 382
Software Version 797PCODD-N
Cust Serv---
Interned Address---
Remote Address 1
Location ID 00000001
I hope this info is of some use to your analysis. I'ts really boring watching this channel, I must say I'm getting well versed on how to program the remote. I'm also getting much faster at jtagging, as I have done it so many times
Once again I am in your debt, thanks for your time and your help.

The location ID shows that your IRD is still ECM'd. You need to redo the j-tag and erase.

The jtag reader (buffered)and jkeys dont seem to be erasing. I tried a full erase and then proceded to load up the original tsop. When doing this I received the error message (each of the many times I tried) that the erase wasnt complete and did I want to continue. This makes me think that when I was trying to erase the SA5 it didint do so. Finally it took the re-flash of the original tsop I restreemd and am now getting the error message 153 and am still at 00000001. (this has happened twice)I suspect it didnt really erase fully and there is an error with my jtag reader, jkeys or a long shot, my computer. I will re-download jkeys and try that, then I will buy another jtag reader if I must or put a lock on. Any comments or insight is welcome.

Are you sure the pins are on the pads correctly, different jtags have different setups
I'm pretty well tapped out here, try pm'ng Chapster99 or Chief or Birdie to ask for help, you've done your darndest in forum..

I have gone over the pin order and am pretty sure it is correct, as I downloaded the tsop, eeprom and it gave me the ird # and box keys. It doesnt seem to erase for some reason. Thanks for the help and I will take your advice.

Well I'll be damned, I finally got it to work why, I dont know after numerous attempts for some reason it erasted and I put on my old tsop restreemed and viola tv. It would be nice to know why it decided to work but I'll worry about it when I get hit again. Now I will try to figure out how to program the card and how to get both satellites instead of just 119. I can get one or the other but not both.
