Realy need to Jtag it and see whats up with the flashes.

other than that theres no way to tell, you could pull your cam out and plug it up and see if it stayed on the insert cam nag but that would only confirm you need to jtag it which pretty much is whats gonna hapen anyway.
Then Maybe there is no component damage could be simples as Quick ECM fix

Could be a couple of possibilities, at least.
The flash may have become scrambled, the ECM fix mat correct that, maybe a reflash is nescessay.
A component in the power supply may have been damaged, the dtv 420's and 430's were famous for that, in those it was CR14108, not the same number in the 301 but you get the general idea.

The easiest thing would be to try the ECM fix, then try reflash, and if that don't work check power supply voltages. I can post what the voltages should be if you get that far. Or if you want to check the volts first I can get those posted for you.

skinerd, I have a 301-010 that blew a fuse (F1). Do you have any voltages for that. I would appreciated it.

I replaced the fuse (it is not blowing it again & has if I remember correct 11v or 12v) but I can not jtag it as it does not recognize it. It is a dual TSOP. Any help is appreciated. Thanks PC

The ECM fix requires a jtag, you need to erase a sector and restream the receiver.

I'll get them posted in a while, I have to open a -010 and see if the power supply is identical to a -013, I believe it is but want to make sure.

There will be 4 or 5 different voltages that will need to be there.

The 013 power supply is quite different the that of the 010.

Here they are, these are all on the low voltage side, be careful when measuring and don't slip and short anything out......stay away from the high voltage side of the power supply unless you know what you are doing, or like fireworks.

These are measured on the banded side of the diode, referenced to ground and are approximate, yours may be slightly different.

For a 301-010..........

D22 7.3v
D23 28v
D26 23v
D27 17.8v
D28 5v
D58 and 59 17.5v
D35 and 37 22.8v
IC7 in 4.95v out 3.3v

may you publish the 301.013 voltages as well?

I won't be able to do that for a few days, as I am extremely busy.
If you can wait, I'll read them and get them up.

Thanks Skinerd for the Voltages.... I kind of put it on the back burner and checked this out today. I had similar readings the first time and weak the second (later on )

Strange thing is that I was able to read both TSOPs but not the EEProm. "LSI control unavialible" After that I can not even get the box keys, IRD, Build or anything. Almost everything is all zero's. and even sometimes the IRD # shows different - weird Numbers.

I verified the reading (in flash edit 2) and got the IRD and Box Keys (they were legit). I know I hit read not erase. Everything showed ok.

I keep on trying to boot the rcvr and hit jkeys asap, but with no luck. I tried to read and program the EEProm (LSI error).

Originally when I got this rcvr it did not power up.....blown fuse. What voltage do you have there at F1 fuse (2.5a) I have 42 volts with a buzz....Yeah a bad thing I know. But the strange thing is that when Jkeys worked there was no buzz sound and there was 11 volts. Power supply problems.

The rcvr did sit for about a month before I tried to monkey around with it again.

Another oddity is that the rcvr power light did not even blink before, and when I got Jkeys to work, I had a very brief flash (split second) thats all. That is a first for this thing.

anyone good with power supplies on a 301.010? Thanks again for all your help.

I have the same problem and it will be very useful for me if you sen me an email with all the voltages and the check points for the 301-010.
