So Mili... what's up with this e-mail?

I understand the issue with MyVirtualCard, but you're really asking us to pay you twice. You say you won't contest it when we tell our credit card company we didn't receive the product. The problem is many of us most likely paid our credit card bill and now we have to fight to get our money back from the credit card company... after sending you a money order. To me that's double payment. What happens if you resolve your issue with MyVirtualCard while our MO is in transit to you?

Not to say that you will, but the concern I have and I'm sure many others will feel the same is the ease in which you can contact us by e-mail about our orders. Which means you have records... records that Charlie can access. Who's to say out of desperation you won't turn over the info on individuals that won't help you out? I'm just talking out loud, this is not a bash and I'm not accusing you of anything. Just sharing some issues and concerns.

You've been fantastic and I, plus many others wouldn't mind helping you out if we were more sure of the facts.

FreeTV, you need to be aware of a couple of things. First,
Charlie CANNOT access Mili's records. He is offshore where Dishnet has no jurisdiction.

And let me ease everyone's mind as to Mili's integrity, and the possibility of him ratting us out, keeping double payments, etc. - Mili is a tough old bird, he and I disagree on things from time to time (mostly political views :p ) but I know him well - and I can say with 100 percent conviction that he stands firm on truth and honesty - anyone who's been around here awhile can attest to that fact. The man takes care of business, takes care of his customers and members.

Your security will not be compromised, and your money won't be hijacked. It may take a bit of doing to unwind it all - but, unfortunately, it stems from a situation that Mili couldn't foresee, and has little control over, short of a commando-style raid on the processor that's screwing him. He's doing everything possible to ensure that none of us suffer as a consequence - and is willing to take the entire weight of this fiasco on his own shoulders.

Read the thread I linked to, in its entirety. :)

In this hobby your not going to find a more stand up guy than Mili. I sincerely doubt that Mili is trying to take advantage of anyone. Furthermore, it's totally believable that MVC is jerking Mili around just because they think they can get away with it. I know a lot of peeps like the convienence of using their credit cards, but just be a bit more patient and pay with a money order and this issue would never have come to light. Instead of just nixing the ability to pay via credit card, Mili is switching to another company that he thinks will be more reliable. Whose to say the next CC processor wont pull the same BS? Mili is willing to take the chance just to provide his customers with the convienence of CC payments. I think that says a lot about Mili's intentions. If it were me, I would just go back to MO payments only and wouldn't bother with the BS of accepting CC payments. It always chaps my ass to hear about good people being screwed over, and this is a clear case of Mili taking it where he shouldn't have to.

Thanks for clearing it up! I know Mili's a standup guy, even if I don't know him personally! :)

Remember... even though everything's in the Bahamas, you'll never know the extent of the long arms of the law!!! No one is immune if someone's intent on getting to you. Even the Dave vendors never expected anyone to go after them... followed by hundreds of customers getting the letters from Dave!!!

I was thinking about that and I thought with a smile that I would probably have paid double anyways for the items I bought. Without Mili I would not be watching TV right now. If Mili asked for my first born I would have to give pause to consider it at least. That boys a demon seed anyway, but his mother loves him so I would have to turn Mili down. However, I would use his college fund to buy a platinum subscription and send him to tech school.
