new problem with 301.013 w/blue card

My 013 came with a blue card so it already had all 0's where the D500 is normally on a 013.. The problem now is that it continually downloads the upgrade over and over and never acquires the satellite signal. Each time it programs memory from the upgrade download and go's to acquire sat signal please wait after about 30 second it starts download all over again. Any one else have this problem? :cry:

Has it ever worked normally before? Im pretty new but I read that the way they force updates on the 301.13's is to write bad data to a couple of places on the TSOP flash and then the receiver attempts to download a new flash from the stream. Why it would continually do so even after its been applied I have no idea. Does your flash have a softlock on it? A ghetto-rigged way of getting past it for the time being might be to go into the menu and set the option to "Ask permission before donwloading" in the updates option and hit cancel when it asks you if you want to download it. Just my noob 2©

Yes it worked ok at one time until it got ECM'd. Tried the ask permission thing but it didn't ask. There is no lock on it. I may try writing a new virgin TSOP to it and see what happens.

Sounds like a plan. Make sure you backup your current TSOP just in case. Good luck!
