301-013 wont take update

i have a 301-013 single with vidmod installed. i read the address at 7FFFFFAC and it reads 0000. the software is at np058. i went up to erase sa49 but there is no sa49 it only goes to 10. so i plugged in the receiver last night and got up this morning and it still at software version p058dasj-n . why wont it update? i know the dish is getting signal bcause i tried onther box and it works fine. thanks wdwrd68

P058 plays with you, It will not update unless you use the yellow card, Then the vid mod will work fine.

Do not dump SA49. Put the yellow in and when signal comes up hit "Cancel" on your remote control, A question will come up asking if sig is locked, Highlight yes and hit OK on the remote, It will update.

thanks birdiemod the box came with a rom 10 and i dont have a yellow card that came with this box. can you give me any other idea to get the box to update. i have 2 other yellow cards but the are married to other receivers. thanks i appreciate your help. wdwrd68
