Nokia 5165 clone

I have a cable and have a unlocked nokia 5165
Cell phone forums really suck and are no help at all.
It would take weeks to find out how to clone my phone.
I am not looking for free service I want to clone MY working phone to another one in case this one goes bad, They will make me BUY a new one instead of fixing that one.

Question is does anybody know how to clone a nokia 5165 without messing up the working one.
What are the chances of messing my good one up by reading the eprom???

And HELL no I aint gonna read read read the cell phone forums to find out.
them guys are full of questions but no answers, all you get is search and read as response, Hell there is nothing to search, If I am gonna read it will be here.

I just want a back up phone, dont want to learn a new launguage,
If it takes more than a couple of hours to learn then nevermind.

hey bud, im in the process of trying to learn just that (little by little). if you are talking about cloning a sim card, from what i've read there is always chance of screwing the eeprom. i'd imagine the odds are in your favor, but to be honest i don't know. there is a proggy called simscan (v2) used for dumping IMSI and Ki, apparently needed to make the clone. good luck!

WHats up, no not sim card in this phone.
I got one of them for later.
I used NOKIASOC to unlock the one I have and it worked, I read the eprom no problems.
I am wondering can I just read my other (working) phone and write it to the other one,
I think I will have to unlock my working one before I can even read it.
Oh how well I understand the posiblity of screwing a eprom up. Thats why I am trying to find out if there is another progy that will do it , I think wintesla is the current rave but I do not want to sign up on any of the forums to pay for it, I am looking for an alternative.
