Not to many of us are working on XM or Sirius, For the 10 to 13 bucks a month not worth the chopping it up.
You can add Sirius to Dishnet home receivers easy by adding a tier.

The Jensen model has an AMIC a29l400 tsop chip. When the chip is reprogrammed with a working sub, the unit recogizes this and erases a small portion of the TSOP.
The system new that the flash did not belong in that receiver. The system also has 2 ATMEGA chips. One is 32 and the other 128. The system has no Eprom. The unit probably compares data unit # stored in the Atmega with the Unit # stored in the flash upon boot up. If it does not match then a small portion of the TSOP is erased causing it to go back to virgin or almost virgin status. I say almost virgin status becuase the info thats in a portion of the virgin flash is erased in the tampered flash but the unit still boots up and asks you to call a # for a subscription.

In other words, it sounds like it is not worth hacking.
