rom 3 and 2800 help

rom3 , 2800 reciever, only get dish channel, 2800 reciever I think has 766 software version , I have tried many time to update by instuctions to no avail, rom3 originally 372rev, and i think marked , any help to get me up ?? I patched I think tiers and ppv of upload site and changed ird and box keys, then added birdie bolcker to 382rev many times still just dish info and no more

USE rom 3 it has 10 also . read card put rom 3 on then blocker. Wate see if work then try ppv patch JCK7

1st lets have a look at the tier patch. C+P from the patch screen in nagra to notepad save as .txt and attach that to you post.
2nd lets see if you are marked. Read the card in nagraedit. click on the Data Editor tab then on the left click on code space tab if the result is anything other that FF you are not marked. Post your results on this.
3rd What directions are u following to update the IRD? is it from dishnet's website or are u trying some steps that someone has posted on this website?
4th Give answers to each question.

You need to get the latest firmware (P797). Go into the menu by hitting menu button on remote, then look for an update section. Set your receiver to update without your permission. Leaving the sat cable plugged in, turn your receiver off. If your receiver has no locks on it, it will update itself in less than 10 minutes. Turn your receiver on and do a switch check. If your still not getting all the channels and your hitting both the 110 and 119 birds, then you have a tier list problem on your card.

I have done the reciever issue a few times will not update, it is checked to accept without permission , I have no locks , any other ideas, or could it be my card?

The Ird Will Update With Out A Card So Take The Card Out And Plug It In And Hook Up The Sat Cable And Wait 30 Min. It Should Update To 2800 Comercial As Mine Did It Takes A Little Longer Than 10 Min At Least Mine Did..

After you do the steps to update how long are u waiting for it to update before u turn the IRD back on.

Is the location ID 000001? (Found on the sys info screen) IF not and you still can't get it to update (and I assume that you are pointing to 199/110 location and have good signal strength) the you might want to do the following to get it to work.

Down load a current TSOP bin for your 2800 797p from the files section(dssftp.com) and with a JTAG write new TSOP Bin to your IRD.

I bought this 2800 , it may have been tested before, how do I tell if there is a Lock on it, and if so can I remove to get update, and id is not ooooo1, or should I download 797p and try to use my jtag??

it might have a softlock on it. Just update with jtag for now. It will be easier to do it this way than trying to figure out if it has a softlock on it.

I down loaded 797p, do I use flashedit to change my ird and box keys to this file and then does flash edit write also, or do i use jkeys to write,

flash edit doesn't write it's just to make changes to the bin. You will need jkeys to write.
