I was wondering how one would tell if the rf module was no good? If I hooked up a receiver and got the information displayed on the screen about the receiver and card would this indicate that the rf module was okay or is there some other way to test it. Reason I ask is I sold a friend( I think LOL) a refurbished 4900 receiver and he says the RF module is gone as all he gets is snow but gets perfect picture on video outputs. He did install a switch in the receiver before telling me the modulator was bad before he installed switch, would this possibly affect the rf modulator, of course he now wants his money back, I will give to him to save friendship but want to know if I am getting the rod here? Thanks
