ok, my magic card is on the way. so i have a question here. i have a "legacy twin" dish with a 301.10 receiver. my question is this, do i need a sw-21 switch to receive the 110 and 119 sats? because when i run a check switch it shows both sats getting both odd and even polarity, and installed switch as 500 twin.
oh yeah what is the super dish/129 thing all about? im just wondering what programing is on each sat. i dont know how to make sure i am receiving both sats. thanks for any pointers guys. btw, im thinking of getting the 6000 receiver because i bought a new HDTV not long ago, if i want HDTV programing i will need an sw-21 and another dish pointing at the 61.5 bird correct? thanks in advance people, you guys are great here. :)
almost forgot. i want to try out bev as well, because UFC is coming on this weekend and charlie doesnt seem to be broadcasting the fights, but bev is, how hard is it to switch between bev and charlie? what bird would i need to aim at? do i have to reprogram my MC, etc. thanks guys.

No SW21 required. The 500 twin has a built in switch.

Superdish is the latest dish. It picks up three sats. Two types are available the 129 superdish and the 105 superdish. So make sure you get the right one if you decide to get it. They are not interchangable.
129 dosen't have much yet but 105 has loads of locals. You have to have a superdish to pickup either 129 or 105 since a standard DN or RCA dish will not pick up those birds. (special lnb for 129 and 105).

Bev's main sat is 91. Conversion is done by hooking up a jtag and erasing a sector of the tsop. Then hook up the receiver to a sat pointing at the provider you wish to receive. Then take the firmware update. Best to get a DN single dish or a rca dish and point it a bev's 91 sat before changing the firmware on the receiver. Realigning a 500 bewteen dish and bev can be a real pain.
Then the MC will have to be loaded to work with bev. Never used a magic card so can't help too much with that.

Gald I could help.
Yep should have been a bit more clear on the part. Yes you use a sw-21 with a second dish 300 to get 61.5 for HDTV if that's where they are. Not sure where the HDTV is carried. That's why I included the link.

They list them by channel logo transponder and type (regular or HDTV)

well im not on either of those sats, im on the 110, and 119 i believe. so confusing, lol. this forum has so much knowledge in here its hard to get a handle on it, and i usualy pick up so fast on this kind of stuff, lol. im used to being the one helping people in forums, its weird that the roles are reversed.
