I wonder if they will bust the cops who were auctioning the receivers. That would be fun to watch :)

You seem to be worried about my operations, I am in Nassau, Bahamas. The RCMP can kiss my butt alongside of DTV.
Thanks for your concern

Somebody give me a tech explanation here- a legal satellite card causes no problems but one with a hack on it can drop a 747 in the middle of downtown Quebec?!? We ain't that savvy down here in Texas- somebody testify. Chief

Just wanted to say Canada, the RCMP and who ever are full of shit its pathetic, radio interference, what ever !!!!, thats so lame, they can do better than that, lets see some proof, none.
Have not heard of anything in the US and they are 100 times larger, anyway, my 2 cents, GTG.;)
P.S. The biggest joke is the RCMP and police pirate the signals themselves, go figure.
Actually you are wrong guys. THere is a big fucking radio interference, it is well documented and it is dangerous.
IF YOU ARE USING AN AVR BOARD IN A ECHOSTAR RECEIVER.
The fucking AVR chip resonates on the same frequency as the emergency distress of the aviators. Once of the reasons I will not sell any (besides they are superseeded by AVRs). The AVRs are OK.

I liked 001438's explanation better. Here comes Mili, with his technical expertise, and spoils all the fun. Mili, are you saying a chip inside an Echostar IRD can resonate and send out signals far enough to disrupt an aircraft in flight? I'd have never guessed. Appreciate the update- if we can get all those Canadians to sign up on this site maybe we can solve their problem for 'em..Chief
I said the Atmel AVR chip (AT90S8515)radiates the signal.
Let me correct my previous post, ATMEGAs are OK, AVRs are not.
