channels, I picked my own teirs with tiergen, I've tried with all tiers, 1 tier, ppv, no ppv, supposed working ppv patch and I using a version 2 blocker to generate blocker patch. Can somebody tune me up on the error of my ways, am playing with a rom11 and a 10, same outcome. I can't even select the channels cause they're not there. I'm using dave lnbs and locked on 110 and 119, 110 signal is weak but locked at around 55, and a 301dp ird. I using nagra 4.1 and I've tried writing between each patch, and applying all patches then writing once to the card. I clean between each attempt. I'm following several guides verbatim, and still no freakin' luck...WTF????

Check the firmware version. Sounds like you need the latest firmware for the receiver.

While the receiver is hooked up and turned on pull the card.
Wait a few seconds and a screen will show up called Important System Information.
Look at Software Version.
for a 301-010 it should be at least P214
for a 301-013 it should be at least P201
Anything lower will give the symptoms you described.
To update
reinsert card
turn off any tsop locks if installed.
Tune to Channel 101
Turn power off with remote do not unplug receiver.
It will take 15 minutes to half a hour to update.
The receiver will turn itself on and the green light will blink while updating.

On a side note 55 signal is borderline for working properly. You will have some trouble receiving channels on the 110 bird with that low of a signal.

Bingo, I'm showing p155eaed-n ...I am aware the 55 sucks, I'm in transitional phase, once I get something to work for me I'll properly mount my lnb's. right now they're temp aimed and held to the dish with velcro. I'm using three standard dave lnb's and a phase 3 dish, aiming was pretty easy but not exact, the center(110) lnb is not at the right angle to get a good bounce off the dish. Thank you for your help.

Yep all it was, well your the only guy on four sites that was able (willing) to answer that for me thank you, what a sweet fix. I've been screwing around with tha all day...
