How do I get the video to come on when I pull up the guide? I have it on the right setting, but sometimes it's there and most of the time it's not, it says " receiving info from satellite"

Not much info to go on, in fact very cryptic. What are you running, bev or dish; plastic or Magic to start. What are you referring to when you say "on the right setting".

Add the 44 hour electronic program guide tier to your testing device. That will correct it for you.

Add only the 44 hour tier for non pvr models and the 9 day one only for PVR models.
Some irds have guide problems without this tier to tell it to remember the guide, Then they either say info not avail in guide or redownload it each time you hit the guide button. It's in RTM as channels 36861 and 2 when you make up NE files.

COOL! I assume that this is used somewhere in RTM or Nagra since I haven't yet experienced these programs but am about to soon. Magic is so good it makes you lazy and content, having your plastic already done is way cool but somewhere along the way ya gotta jump in and do it. Thanx Birdie

I am using dish net Rom 10. There is a setting on the menu that allows you to have video and guide together. I am very new to this, is there directions anywhere on how to add tiers?

Yes, go to www.bellexpress.vu and select How to from the left hand menu. From the drop down select ROM programming, good info there; read thru carefully and follow instructions.
