Rom-10 Confused??

Okay, this is driving me nuts, I loaded 2 diff. rom-10 patches with blockers, & when I do a card read, it does not ask me for a password, I was also able to clean my card without a password, I'm thinking that my card is not locking & I'm afraid to try it in the IRD.

List your steps! It sounds like you are not actually writing the image to the card?

Ya, after after hours reading, my eyes are bleeding, I finally figured it out, I thought after running the patch, thats all I had to do, the problem was that I did not write the image to the card.
Only problem I have now is how to edit my box keys in hex, I managed to figure out the ird conversion in windows caculator, I'm used to doing this with Excel, but I can't get Excel to read my rom-10.
I was also wondering what is the latest & greatest blocker, or should I just use CSB.
