Check pointer to data space

When I try to clean my rom 3 card I get a message saying

WARNING: Data Space Invalid, check pointer to data space.


The card was running fine until I reprogrammed it with another blocker and image. It's still open at rev. 382

The reason I reprogrammed it is because after about 10 seconds of aquiring signal it gave an error message saying "Your Smart Card Is not inserted properly

Any Ideas!!

Easy fix for me, just log into card..do read...then go to data editor and make sure location E030 = E4 and E031 = 00.

make sure your data space start address is E400
at E030= E4 E031=00

Sorry... not data editor, just click and change under Eeprom tab.

Hi all i changed the e300 line to e0 and 00
and then the rev changes to 372 but i still cant get it to clean, it keeps saying error check pointer to data space. Btw how do i get it to start at address e400, or was that just make sure???? any help would be appreciated!! thankyou

Ok,
i tried a clean image wont write sz error writing to card....
heres when it gets funny, tried to read the card sz : rev 383 and in data editor the lines E030 =E6 00
when doing Onestep clean the E030= ff ff
after changing the lines E030= e4 00
it stillsz error writing to card
any thoughts?
p.s it still reads rev 383 but change the line e030-e4 00 it changes the rev to 372
but no write!! :cool:

Try a search for your post title exactly, lots of info in the forums already discussed including this and much more.

"Try using NE3, after you get the error click on data tab, then highlight the code and change the data pointer from FF FF to E4 00 then write. Then it will clean. I have the same problem."

excel writes to it witha virtual bin but b4 it does it says change subbed 00 to 09 desubbed...i tired it both ways check in nagra4.1 and still comes up 383 ...stubborn ass card!!!!!

remeber the card reads fine and its not locked.....cleans with one step clean up until the end and stops and says error...check pointer to data space....line e030= ff ff
change it to e4 00 and it comes up rev 372 but still ...wont write to card...i have noticed that the full clean has the options:
restore keys 2 and 3 greyed out and all the others checked off.

Well let's start over here to be clear where we are; in your ISO reset ATR and attempt read in Nagra 4.1 and post entire message both times, x out ATR if it is returned good.

then the data space tab sz data space unknown my camid shows until i change the e030 line to e4 00 then everything will look correct but it still doesnt one step clean

It's too late today so tomorrow I'm going to read my rom 3 and compare some lines. It looks like it is still locked at 383 no matter what Nagra says. Have you ran bugbusters ? Run it long like 1024 minimum, get back 2 u tomorrow.

My rom 3 clean at 372 at line E030 starts off E4 00, yours said E6 00 then FF FF after cleaning. Make sure you change E030 line to start E4 00. There are other differences but I don't know what they mean.

tried again but this time one step cleaned ...same error...

Do you have a modded loader, seems like the only way this might be fixed.

Nope, no modded loader....guess i am out of luck.....well i wait and see maybe anyone else know of fix for this stupid card!
